Easy Air Fryer Ham Cheese Pockets (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 (8-inch) flour tortillas
02 - 8 slices ham
03 - 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese
04 - 1 tablespoon softened butter

# Instructions:

01 - Stack the tortillas on a microwave safe plate, cover with a damp paper towel, and microwave for 20 seconds.
02 - Chop the ham into small pieces.
03 - To the center of a tortilla, add cheese, ham, and more cheese. Fold the edges of the tortilla in and then fold up through the middle until closed. Repeat for the remaining 3 tortillas.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 380°F and set the timer for 5 minutes.
05 - Brush the top of each tortilla with softened butter and top with shredded cheese. Press the cheese down into the butter so it sticks.
06 - Add the pockets to the air fryer, seam down, and cook for 5 minutes until the cheese has melted. Check halfway through cooking.
07 - Carefully remove the pockets from the air fryer. Let them cool and enjoy!
08 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Warm the tortillas in the microwave using a tortilla warmer or covered with a damp paper towel for 20 seconds.
09 - Chop the ham into small pieces.
10 - Laying a tortilla flat, add ¼ cup shredded cheese to the center, then add ham, and more cheese. Fold the outer edges in and then fold the tortilla up through the middle until closed. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
11 - Spread softened butter on top of each wrap and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Ensure the cheese sticks to the butter.
12 - Place the pockets seam down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the cheese has melted.
13 - Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and enjoy for lunch, dinner, or a snack.
14 - Prepare the ham and cheese pockets as directed, but do not cook. Wrap each pocket in parchment paper and place in a freezer bag. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Cook by removing parchment and air frying seam down for 5-7 minutes at 380°F until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
15 - Prepare as directed but do not cook. Place in a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. To cook from frozen, place seam down in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes at 380°F.

# Notes:

01 - Warm tortillas before folding to prevent cracking.
02 - Ensure shredded cheese on top is pressed into the butter to prevent it from flying in the air fryer.
03 - Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model.
