Almond Crescent Orange Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookies

01 - 2 cups almond flour
02 - 5 tablespoons white almond butter or cashew butter
03 - 6 tablespoons maple syrup
04 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
05 - 1 orange zest

→ Vanilla Sugar

06 - 4-5 tablespoons powdered sugar
07 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a small bowl, mix almond flour, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla powder, and orange zest to form a soft dough.
03 - Divide the dough into 14 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small cylinder with tapered ends, then shape into crescents. Ensure dough is warmed between hands to prevent cracking.
04 - Place cookies on the lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden. The cookies should remain pale in color.
05 - Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes. Mix powdered sugar and vanilla powder in a bowl. Roll each warm cookie in the vanilla sugar to coat.
06 - Once cooled, store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze for up to a month.

# Notes:

01 - The dough might feel oily due to the natural oils in almond butter and almond flour. This is normal.
02 - For perfectly soft cookies, monitor baking closely and remove them from the oven as soon as the tips turn golden.
03 - Vanilla sugar can absorb into the cookies after a few days. Sprinkle additional powdered sugar on top to refresh.
