Effortless Bacon Cheeseburger Cones (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 75 g onions, chopped
02 - 120 g mozzarella, shredded
03 - 24 frozen tater tots
04 - 120 g cheddar cheese, grated
05 - 6 pieces beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
06 - 450 g ground beef

→ Sauce

07 - 60 ml yellow mustard
08 - 60 ml mayonnaise
09 - 60 ml ketchup

→ Seasoning

10 - Freshly ground black pepper, as needed
11 - Salt, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 220°C. In a hot pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Remove any excess grease, then mix in cooked bacon bits, chopped onion, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir well and remove from heat.
02 - Using a knife or spoon, scoop out the center of each tater tot to create a small cup. Fill each cup with the warm beef, cheese, and bacon mixture. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top of each cup.
03 - Arrange the stuffed tater tots on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the outer tater tot is crispy and the cheese is melted and gooey.
04 - Combine shredded mozzarella with any remaining beef mixture. Top each baked tater tot with the mixture immediately after removing them from the oven.
05 - Return the filled tater tots to the oven for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until the mozzarella is melted and bubbling with golden edges.

# Notes:

01 - Store leftovers in a sealed container and refrigerate for up to three days. Reheat at 190°C for 8–10 minutes.
02 - Grate mozzarella fresh for optimal melting. Pre-packaged shredded cheese does not melt as evenly.
03 - Stuff tater tot cups up to four hours ahead of baking. Add a few extra minutes to cook time if baking directly from the fridge.
04 - Freeze uncooked filled cones for up to two months. Bake directly from frozen, adding 5–8 extra minutes to the cook time.
