04 - ¼ cup salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
05 - 1 tsp garlic powder
06 - 1 tsp onion powder
07 - 1 tsp cumin
08 - Salt and pepper, to taste
09 - 10 small flour or corn tortillas
10 - Cooking spray or olive oil (for brushing)

→ Optional Toppings

11 - Sour cream
12 - Guacamole
13 - Salsa
14 - Shredded lettuce
15 - Diced tomatoes
16 - Crumbled cotija cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
03 - Warm the tortillas slightly in the microwave (about 10–15 seconds) to make them pliable.
04 - Place 2–3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto each tortilla, spreading it down the center. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling, then place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with all tortillas.
05 - Lightly brush the tops of the taquitos with cooking spray or olive oil. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
06 - Remove taquitos from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve hot with your choice of toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, shredded lettuce, or diced tomatoes.

# Notes:

01 - Sautéed onions, bell peppers, or spinach can be added to the chicken mixture for extra flavor and nutrients.
02 - Swap chicken for ground beef or turkey, or add diced jalapeño for a spicy kick.
03 - Try using Monterey Jack, pepper jack, or a Mexican cheese blend for more varied flavor.
