→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 ounces pasta
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 pound lean ground beef
04 - 1/2 sweet onion, chopped
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
07 - 1 tablespoon instant bouillon cube (chicken or beef)
08 - 15 ounces marinara tomato sauce
09 - 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
10 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
11 - 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
12 - 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain well and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and cook, stirring frequently, until translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in garlic, bouillon, and Italian seasoning, cooking until fragrant for about 1 minute.
03 - Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Crumble the beef as it cooks and drain any excess fat.
04 - Stir in marinara sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 8 minutes.
05 - Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Stir the cooked pasta into the sauce.
06 - Mix in chopped parsley and grated parmesan until melted, about 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Use a pasta shape that holds sauce well, such as penne or rigatoni.
02 - To enhance flavor, add a pinch of crushed fennel seeds or cayenne for spice.
03 - For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with sliced mushrooms.
