Best Baked Ziti Alfredo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 32-ounce jar spaghetti sauce
03 - 16-ounce jar alfredo sauce
04 - 1 pound penne pasta
05 - ½ yellow onion, diced
06 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9"x 13" baking dish with nonstick spray.
02 - Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain excess water and ensure pasta is as dry as possible.
03 - In a medium saucepan, brown ground beef with the diced yellow onion. Once browned, drain excess grease.
04 - Return beef to the saucepan and add the jar of spaghetti sauce. Keep the mixture on low heat while pasta finishes cooking.
05 - Transfer cooked pasta back to the large pot. With the heat off, pour in the jar of alfredo sauce and thoroughly coat the pasta.
06 - Spread the alfredo-coated pasta into the prepared baking dish. Top with the spaghetti meat sauce mixture and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
07 - Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
08 - Plate portions and, if desired, add extra spaghetti sauce on top before serving.
