Best Shrimp Marinade Ever (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Marinade

01 - 1/4 cup olive oil
02 - 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
05 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or ghost pepper powder (optional)
06 - 1 teaspoon lime zest
07 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
10 - Hot sauce, to taste (optional)

→ Shrimp

11 - 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

# Instructions:

01 - Whisk together olive oil, honey, garlic, parsley, smoked paprika, lime zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Reserve a few tablespoons for finishing sauce if desired.
02 - Place the shrimp in a large zip-lock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 15 to 20 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
03 - When ready to cook, drain the marinade and discard it. Grill or sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through. Transfer to a serving platter.
04 - Squeeze a bit of fresh lime juice over the shrimp before serving. Optionally use reserved marinade as a finishing sauce.
