Cremige Brokkoli Cheddar (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 100 g bacon strips.
02 - 100 g cheddar for topping.
03 - Pepper.
04 - Salt.
05 - 1 tsp sweet paprika.
06 - 100 ml milk.
07 - 300 g heavy cream.
08 - 800 ml chicken stock.
09 - 4 tbsp flour.
10 - 2 tbsp butter.
11 - 300 g shredded cheddar cheese.
12 - 4 carrots.
13 - 3 garlic cloves.
14 - 1 onion.
15 - 2 heads broccoli.

# Instructions:

01 - Taste and see if it needs anything extra, let it thicken if you’d like, and dish it up topped with more cheese and those crispy bacon bits.
02 - Pop the bacon into a skillet, don’t add oil, and just fry ‘til it’s golden and crunchy.
03 - Drop the cheddar, carrots, and broccoli right in, let everything simmer on low for about 15 to 20 minutes.
04 - Toss in flour, cook that for a bit so it’s not raw, then pour in the broth, cream, and milk—let it blend together.
05 - Melt the butter, then cook the onions for a couple of minutes. Next, add the garlic and spices, let them sizzle for a moment.
06 - Break broccoli into small pieces, slice the carrots nice and thin, and dice up the onion and garlic.

# Notes:

01 - If you need it thicker, a little cornstarch mixed in does the trick.
