Chicken Parmesan Meatballs Baked (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb ground chicken
02 - 5 oz Caesar croutons, finely crushed
03 - 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
04 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
06 - 1 egg, whisked
07 - 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
08 - 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
09 - 1/2 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
10 - 3 cups marinara sauce
11 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Add ground chicken to a bowl. Finely crush Caesar croutons and add to ground chicken along with onion powder, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
02 - Whisk the egg with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, then add the mixture to the chicken. Mix thoroughly.
03 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Shape the chicken mixture into 3-inch meatballs (adjust size as desired).
04 - Add olive oil to a 9 x 12 inch baking dish and arrange rolled meatballs in the dish.
05 - Let the meatballs rest for 10-15 minutes. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
06 - Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour marinara sauce into the baking dish. Optionally, add a small amount of water to the sauce jar, shake, and pour the remainder into the dish. Return to oven and bake for 25 minutes.
07 - While the meatballs bake, shred the remaining mozzarella cheese for better melting results.
08 - Remove the dish from the oven and evenly sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the meatballs. Place back in the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese becomes bubbly.
09 - Monitor cook times, as oven temperatures and meatball sizes may affect baking duration. Adjust as needed for optimal results.

# Notes:

01 - Shredding mozzarella cheese yourself ensures better melting during baking.
02 - Letting meatballs rest before baking helps them firm up and retain their shape.
