Chili Mac Beef Pasta (Print Version)

01 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
02 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 1 onion, diced
04 - 1 ½ pounds ground beef
05 - 2 cups beef broth
06 - 2 cups traditional pasta sauce
07 - 10 ounces diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
08 - 16 ounces mild chili beans, undrained
09 - 1 packet chili seasoning mix
10 - 1 box elbow macaroni
11 - 2 cups shredded Mexican 4-cheese blend

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add garlic, onion, and ground beef, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
02 - Stir in beef broth, pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, chili beans, and chili seasoning mix. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
03 - Add the pasta to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover, reduce heat, and simmer until the pasta is cooked through, approximately 13-15 minutes.
04 - Remove the skillet from heat. Top with shredded cheese and cover until melted, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately with optional garnishes like sour cream, avocado, and Fritos.
