Easy Cilantro Lime Rice (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 2 cups long grain rice, preferably jasmine or basmati
02 - 3.5 cups water
03 - 2 tablespoons butter
04 - 2 teaspoons salt
05 - 1/2 lime, juiced
06 - 1 bunch cilantro, minced

# Let's Cook!:

01 - Wash rice in a large bowl under cold running water for 2-5 minutes until the water runs clear. Let the rice soak for at least 5 minutes before cooking.
02 - Bring 3.5 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the rice and cover immediately. Reduce heat and simmer on low for about 10 minutes, or until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is tender.
03 - Turn off the heat and place 2 tablespoons of butter on top of the rice, allowing it to melt from the residual heat. Just before serving, add the minced cilantro and fresh lime juice, then gently fold everything together.

# Recipe Notes:

01 - This fragrant rice makes the perfect side dish for tacos, burritos, or any Mexican-inspired meal.
02 - For best results, don't skip the rinsing step as it removes excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky.
