Thoroughly wash all fruits and have them ready on your cutting board.

Quarter the apple, remove the core, then cut each piece in half and dice into bite-sized chunks. Peel the orange and cut it into similar-sized cubes.

Peel the kiwi, cut it into quarters lengthwise, then slice into small pieces. Depending on their size, halve or quarter the strawberries.

Peel the banana and slice it into even rounds. The grapes can remain whole or be halved if they're particularly large.

Combine all the prepared fruit pieces in a large bowl. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon over the fruit salad to prevent browning and add a fresh, bright flavor.

Either serve the fruit salad immediately or cover and refrigerate to allow the flavors to mingle before serving.
