Easy French Toast Breakfast (Print Version)

01 - 8 slices brioche bread or thick-cut bread such as challah or French bread
02 - 3 eggs
03 - 1/2 cup whole milk
04 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup or granulated sugar
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
06 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon

07 - Butter or cooking spray for cooking
08 - Butter and maple syrup, as desired, for serving
09 - Fresh fruit, optional, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Crack the eggs into a wide, shallow dish. Add the milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Use a whisk to mix until well combined.
02 - Heat some butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, or spray the pan with cooking spray.
03 - Working in batches, dip the bread into the egg mixture, flipping to coat both sides. Place the soaked bread in the skillet and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown. Repeat with remaining bread, adding more butter or cooking spray as needed.
04 - Serve the French toast with butter, maple syrup, and fresh fruit, or as desired.

01 - For a dairy-free version, substitute non-dairy milk such as almond or oat milk. Use coconut oil or cooking spray instead of butter.
