Homemade Beefaroni Easy Dinner (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1/2 cup onion, diced
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
09 - 1 tablespoon tomato paste
10 - 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
11 - 1 teaspoon sugar
12 - 8 ounces ziti
13 - 2 ½ cups beef broth
14 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
15 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add ground beef and diced onions, and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 30 seconds. Discard excess fat.
02 - Incorporate tomato paste into the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
03 - Add spaghetti sauce and sugar to the skillet. Mix thoroughly and bring to a simmer.
04 - Add the ziti and beef broth. Stir to ensure the pasta is evenly covered with liquid.
05 - Increase the heat to bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
06 - Stir in heavy cream and simmer on low heat for 8-10 minutes.
07 - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil and serve immediately.

01 - Any short cut pasta can be substituted.
02 - Leftover canned tomato paste can be stored in freezer bags or ice cube trays for later use.
