Easy Lasagna No Boil Noodles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - ½ pound sweet Italian sausage

→ Sauce and Spices

03 - 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic
05 - 2 teaspoons dried parsley or 4 tablespoons freshly snipped parsley
06 - ¼ teaspoon salt
07 - ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

→ Cheese

08 - 15 ounces ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
09 - 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
10 - ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

→ Binding Ingredients

11 - 2 large eggs

→ Pasta and Liquids

12 - 12 lasagna noodles
13 - ¼ cup water

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and sausage together. Drain any fat and discard. Add minced garlic and spaghetti sauce, then simmer for 5 minutes.
03 - In a large bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, 2 cups of shredded mozzarella, eggs, ½ cup Parmesan, parsley, salt, and ground pepper. Mix well.
04 - Spread ¾ cup of sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Cover the bottom with 3 uncooked lasagna noodles. Add ⅓ of the cheese mixture and ¼ of the sauce. Repeat layers (noodles, cheese, sauce) twice.
05 - Top with 3 noodles, remaining sauce, the last 1 cup of mozzarella, and the remaining Parmesan cheese. Add ½ cup water if the sauce is very thick; adjust based on the type of sauce.
06 - Spray a sheet of aluminum foil with cooking spray and cover the baking dish (sprayed side down). Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
07 - Allow the lasagna to stand for 10 minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - The liquids from the spaghetti sauce should ensure the noodles cook properly in the oven.
02 - You can use regular lasagna noodles instead of oven-ready noodles without pre-boiling.
03 - If desired, boil lasagna noodles before assembly but omit the extra water in the recipe.
