Slice the onion into thin strips and finely chop the garlic. Halve the cherry tomatoes and roughly tear or chop the basil leaves.

Combine the pasta, prepared tomatoes, onion, garlic, tomato paste, water, cream, basil, salt, and pepper in a large pot. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, remove the lid and cook the one-pot pasta over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Just before the end of cooking time, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
