Garlic Butter Beef Rollups (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Savory beef filling

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - ½ teaspoon salt
03 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
04 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
05 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
06 - ½ cup yellow onion, diced
07 - 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

→ Dough and garlic butter topping

08 - 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
09 - 2 tablespoons butter, melted
10 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder for the butter
11 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onions together until the beef is browned and onions are soft, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder as it cooks. Drain excess grease and let it cool slightly.
03 - Let the beef mixture cool slightly before stirring in the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly to incorporate evenly.
04 - Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. These will form the pockets for the filling.
05 - Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the beef and cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll each triangle up from the wide end to the point, sealing the filling inside. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
06 - Mix the melted butter with the garlic powder and generously brush it over the tops of all the rollups.
07 - Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
08 - Serve warm with ketchup, ranch dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - Let the beef mixture cool slightly before adding the cheese to prevent early melting.
02 - Prep the rollups ahead of time and refrigerate before baking. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if chilled.
03 - Leftovers reheat excellently in the oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes or in the microwave.
04 - Experiment with cheeses like Monterey Jack, pepper jack, or cream cheese for variety.
