Cut the rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish. Layer with half of the ham, followed by the cheese, and then the remaining ham. Place the roll tops back on.

Pour the butter mixture evenly over the assembled rolls, ensuring all are coated.
