Homemade Strawberry Crunch (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 23 Golden Oreo cookies
02 - 1 (3 oz) Strawberry Jell-O
03 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
02 - Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until crumbled. Ensure crumbs are not too fine and vary slightly in size. Alternatively, place cookies in a zip lock bag, seal, and crush with a rolling pin.
03 - In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and strawberry Jell-O powder. Mix thoroughly.
04 - Pour melted butter into the crumb mixture and mix until evenly coated.
05 - Spread the crumb mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Bake for 8 minutes.
06 - Remove from the oven and let cool. If a solid layer has formed, crumble it with your hands or use a zip lock bag and a rolling pin to break it into pieces.

# Notes:

01 - Do not overpulse the Oreos; crumbs should be varied in size for proper texture.
02 - Ensure crumbs are fully coated with butter for the best flavor.
03 - For additional strawberry flavor, add up to ½ teaspoon of strawberry extract.
