Classic Sugar Donuts (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Donut Dough

01 - 110g whole milk, lukewarm
02 - 50g granulated sugar
03 - 12.5g fresh yeast (or 5g instant yeast)
04 - 1 egg yolk, room temperature
05 - 1 egg, room temperature
06 - 250g bread flour
07 - ¼ teaspoon salt
08 - 30g unsalted butter, room temperature

→ For Frying and Coating

09 - 1.5 liters vegetable or canola oil
10 - 100g granulated sugar for coating

# Let's Cook!:

01 - Mix lukewarm milk with sugar, sprinkle yeast on top. Let foam 10 minutes.
02 - Mix yeast mixture with eggs, add flour and salt. Knead 10 minutes, adding soft butter pieces gradually until elastic and shiny.
03 - Cover dough, let rise overnight in fridge or 1-2 hours at room temperature.
04 - Roll dough ¼-inch thick, cut donuts with 3-inch cutter. Let rise 1-2 hours until puffed.
05 - Fry at 180°C/356°F for 2 minutes per side until brown. Drain and coat with sugar while hot.
