Honey Garlic Butter Shrimp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup honey
02 - 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
03 - 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
04 - 2 tablespoons minced garlic
05 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
06 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch
07 - 1 pound large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed if desired
08 - 2 tablespoons butter
09 - 2 cups chopped broccoli
10 - 1 teaspoon olive oil
11 - Salt to taste
12 - Pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes until evenly mixed.
02 - Place peeled and deveined shrimp into a bowl and coat with one-third of the prepared sauce. Reserve the remaining sauce for later use.
03 - Whisk cornstarch into the reserved marinade and set aside.
04 - Heat a skillet or wok over high heat. Add olive oil, broccoli, salt, and pepper, cooking for 5-6 minutes until softened. Remove from the pan and set aside.
05 - Melt butter in the skillet and add shrimp, discarding any leftover marinade. Cook on each side for approximately 2 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink.
06 - Add reserved sauce to the skillet and bring to a low-medium simmer. Cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
07 - Add broccoli back to the skillet and toss until heated through. Serve over rice or pasta as desired.

# Notes:

01 - Marinate shrimp for 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
02 - Use fresh or thawed and pat-dried frozen broccoli for best results.
03 - 16/20 jumbo shrimp are recommended, but smaller shrimp will cook faster.
04 - For presentation purposes, leaving the shrimp tails on is optional.
