Hot Honey Chicken Drumsticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Dry Rub

01 - 10 chicken drumsticks
02 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon chili powder
05 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
06 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Hot Honey Sauce

07 - 3 tablespoons honey
08 - 2 tablespoons hot sauce
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, stir together the honey, hot sauce, and lime juice. Set aside.
02 - In a small bowl, stir together the kosher salt, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper.
03 - Place the chicken drumsticks in a large mixing bowl and sprinkle the dry rub evenly over the chicken. Toss the chicken to coat all sides.
04 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the chicken drumsticks on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
05 - Remove the chicken from the oven and use a silicone brush to coat it with the hot honey sauce. Bake the chicken for an additional 10 minutes. Repeat the glazing process and bake for another 10 minutes. For a final glaze, brush with any remaining sauce and cook for 3 to 5 more minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer reaches 175°F (80°C).
06 - For crispy skin, broil the chicken for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving with fresh lime slices.

# Notes:

01 - You don't need to flip the chicken drumsticks, as the sauce spreads evenly during baking.
02 - To reduce spice, omit the chili powder and use a milder hot sauce.
03 - Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
04 - Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5 to 7 minutes, or microwave until warmed through.
