Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 (8 ounce) tubes crescent rolls
02 - 2 (8 ounce) blocks cream cheese, softened to room temperature
03 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
04 - 1 tablespoon lemon zest
05 - ¾ cup powdered sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or lemon extract
07 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
08 - 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
09 - 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray the bottom with nonstick cooking spray.
02 - Stretch one pack of the crescent rolls over the parchment paper to cover the entire surface of the baking pan. Press the seams of the dough together to form one large sheet.
03 - In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract using a handheld electric mixer.
04 - Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll dough in the baking dish.
05 - Stretch the second pack of crescent roll dough over the filling, pressing the seams together to create a single large sheet.
06 - Brush the top of the dough with melted butter and sprinkle granulated sugar and brown sugar evenly over the surface.
07 - Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Monitor closely as baking times may vary by oven.
08 - Allow the bars to cool at room temperature in the baking pan. Slice into 12 or 16 equal portions based on your preference before serving.
