Fudgy M&M's Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter
02 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
03 - 2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 4 large eggs
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
07 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
08 - ½ teaspoon kosher salt
09 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
10 - 1 cup M&M's candies, divided

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
02 - In a medium sized saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and add in 1/2 cup of the semi-sweet chocolate morsels with the sugar. Stir until combined and morsels are melted.
03 - Add in eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition.
04 - Add in vanilla extract.
05 - Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Using big strokes, stir JUST until combined and no longer see dry ingredients.
06 - Fold in remaining semi-sweet morsels and 1/2 cup of the M&M's candies. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
07 - Sprinkle the top with the remaining M&M's candies.
08 - Bake for 38 minutes. Remove from oven and cool COMPLETELY before cutting.

# Notes:

01 - Avoid over mixing. Mixing the batter too much or too vigorously will incorporate more air, making the brownies cakey and crumbly.
02 - Line your pan with parchment paper for easy removal and clean up.
03 - Use a plastic knife for easiest cutting. Make sure the brownies are completely cooled, then slice in long smooth motions.
04 - Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature. Enjoy within 1 week.
05 - Freeze brownies wrapped individually in plastic wrap then in a freezer safe bag for up to 3 months. Thaw on counter or refrigerator.
