Easy Energy Balls Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 100g dried figs, chopped
02 - 8 tbsp water
03 - 50g walnuts
04 - 70g rolled oats
05 - 30g ground almonds
06 - 20g shredded coconut
07 - 15g cocoa powder

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the dried figs into small pieces and soak them in 8 tablespoons of water for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, finely chop the walnuts.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground almonds, shredded coconut, and cocoa powder.
03 - Puree the soaked figs with their soaking water. Add this puree and the chopped walnuts to the dry ingredients. Knead everything well until combined. If the mixture seems too dry, add a little more water.
04 - Shape the mixture into about 20 small balls with your hands. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they'll keep for about a week.

# Notes:

01 - Dried figs contain more fruit sugar than fresh figs, but also more fiber (about 13g per 100g) and a higher protein content (nearly 4g per 100g).
02 - These energy balls are perfect for fighting afternoon energy slumps or as a pre-workout snack.
03 - You can customize these balls by adding spices like cinnamon or vanilla for extra flavor.
