05 - 1.1 lbs (500g) onions, sliced into half rings
06 - 1.1 lbs (500g) red bell peppers, diced
07 - 1.1 lbs (500g) yellow bell peppers, diced
08 - 28 oz (800g) canned whole peeled tomatoes

→ Sauce & Seasonings

09 - 1 cup (250g) heavy cream
10 - 1 cup (250ml) chili sauce (e.g., Knorr, Kühne)
11 - 1 cup (250ml) shashlik sauce (e.g., Knorr, Kühne)
12 - 2 tablespoons neutral vegetable oil (canola or sunflower)
13 - Fresh parsley for garnish
14 - Salt, pepper, chili powder or cayenne pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) fan/convection. Cut the smoked bacon into small cubes. Dice the bell peppers and slice the onions into thin half rings.
02 - Heat the vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or braising pot (at least 9-quart capacity). Brown the smoked bacon, onions, and ground meat for 2-3 minutes over high heat.
03 - In a large bowl, mix together the whole peeled tomatoes (crush them slightly), chili sauce, shashlik sauce, and heavy cream. Season with salt, pepper, and chili powder or cayenne pepper to taste.
04 - Turn off the heat. Add the beef stew meat, pork stew meat, bell peppers, and the prepared sauce to the pot with the ground meat mixture and stir everything together well.
05 - Cover the pot and braise in the preheated oven for 2 hours on the second rack from the bottom. About 30 minutes before the end, stir everything once and continue braising without the lid to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
06 - Garnish the finished dish with fresh parsley and serve with rice, pasta, baguette, or various types of bread.

# Notes:

01 - As part of a buffet, this hearty one-pot meal serves about 12 people; as a main dish, it will satisfy 6 people.
02 - You can cook this dish the day before and slowly reheat it before serving.
03 - Choose a Dutch oven or braising pot with at least 9-quart capacity to ensure all ingredients fit comfortably.
04 - The long cooking time in the oven makes the meat particularly tender and allows the flavors to blend well.
