Peach Pie Bars Dessert (Print Version)

01 - 2 (21 ounce) cans peach pie filling
02 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - 2 cups sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon salt
05 - 4 large eggs
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 3 cups all-purpose flour

08 - 1 cup powdered sugar
09 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
10 - ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
11 - 2-3 tablespoons milk

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
02 - Cut the peaches in the peach pie filling into smaller pieces using a sawing method. Set aside.
03 - In a large bowl, cream the unsalted butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer.
04 - Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
05 - Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour one cup at a time on medium speed until combined.
06 - Spread about 3 cups of the dough into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Spread the peach pie filling evenly over the dough. Drop the remaining dough by teaspoonfuls over the filling.
07 - Bake on the middle rack for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
08 - In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and milk, starting with a little and adding more to reach the desired consistency.
09 - Drizzle the icing over the bars just before serving.
