Pink Chocolate Covered Strawberries (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 8-10 medium strawberries
02 - 6 oz. pink candy melts
03 - EZ thin (optional)
04 - Sprinkles or nonpareils for decorating (optional)

# Let's Cook!:

01 - Clean your strawberries thoroughly and dry them completely. Any moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
02 - Place the pink candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl or mug. Microwave for 30 seconds, then remove and stir thoroughly. Continue heating in 20-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. This should take no more than 3-4 intervals.
03 - Hold each strawberry by the leaves and dip about ¾ of the way into the melted chocolate. Gently shake to allow excess chocolate to drip off. Wait about 10 seconds before placing it down.
04 - Place dipped strawberries onto a non-stick mat or parchment paper. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with your choice of decorations. If you want to drizzle with additional chocolate, wait until the first coating has completely hardened.
05 - Allow the chocolate to fully harden at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Once set, place in a sealed container and store in the refrigerator for up to two days.

# Recipe Notes:

01 - Candy melts provide super smooth chocolate that's perfect for dipping and doesn't require tempering.
02 - Feel free to customize with different colored candy melts or various toppings to match any theme or occasion.
03 - These strawberries are best enjoyed within 2-3 days when stored in the refrigerator.
04 - Freezing chocolate-covered strawberries is not recommended as they tend to become mushy when thawed.
