Prosciutto Grilled Cheese Caprese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 slices white bread
02 - 1 tablespoon salted butter, softened
03 - 4-8 slices fresh mozzarella
04 - 4-6 slices fresh tomato
05 - 2 teaspoons basil pesto
06 - 2 slices very thin prosciutto
07 - Salt and pepper, to season

# Instructions:

01 - Butter each slice of bread on one side, ensuring coverage to all edges, then set aside.
02 - Place one slice of prosciutto on your work surface, then place one slice of buttered bread on top with the buttered side facing down.
03 - Layer the bread with sliced mozzarella, then spread 2 teaspoons of basil pesto evenly across the cheese.
04 - Top with sliced tomato, season with salt and pepper, and optionally add another layer of sliced mozzarella.
05 - Place the second slice of buttered bread on top with the buttered side facing up. Lay the second piece of prosciutto over the top and fold the ends to enclose the sandwich completely.
06 - Preheat a panini press and grill the sandwich until the cheese is melted and the prosciutto is crisp.
