01 - 2 pounds pizza dough
02 - 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
03 - 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
04 - 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder

06 - 1/2 cup diced pepperoni
07 - 1/2 cup browned sausage
08 - 1/2 cup sautéed green bell pepper

09 - 1 egg, lightly beaten

# Instructions:

01 - Combine mozzarella, ricotta, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a bowl. Cover and chill until ready to assemble.
02 - Set oven temperature to 375°F.
03 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and coat with cooking spray or sprinkle with cornmeal.
04 - Separate the dough into 4 equal portions.
05 - Roll each dough piece on a lightly floured surface into circles approximately 1/8 inch thick.
06 - Spread 1/4 of the cheese mixture on one half of each dough circle and top with optional fillings as desired.
07 - Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Crimp the edges with a fork or your fingers.
08 - Brush the tops of the calzones with beaten egg and garnish with pizza seasoning and parmesan cheese.
09 - Place the calzones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for approximately 30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
10 - Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
