Place 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into a large bowl and set aside.

Add light corn syrup, peanut butter, packed light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt to a medium-sized sauce pot. Place the pot over medium-low heat and stir constantly until fully melted.

Remove the pot from heat and immediately stir in vanilla extract.

Pour the melted mixture into the bowl with the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon until the cereal is evenly coated.

Gently press the cereal mixture into the prepared baking dish. Avoid pressing too firmly to prevent overly dense bars. Set aside.

Add butterscotch chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips to a medium-sized sauce pot. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until fully melted and smooth.

Pour the melted topping over the cereal mixture in the baking dish and spread evenly.

Allow the bars to cool and set for at least 2 hours. Cut into bars and serve.
