Crock Pot Pepper Steak (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pepper Steak

01 - 2 lbs beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
02 - 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, and green), sliced into strips
03 - 1 medium onion, sliced
04 - 1 cup beef broth
05 - 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
06 - 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
07 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
08 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
10 - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger until well combined. Slice the beef into thin strips and season lightly with salt and pepper.
02 - Place the sliced beef in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions on top of the beef. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the ingredients.
03 - Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the beef is tender and the peppers are soft. Stir gently halfway through cooking if possible to ensure even distribution of flavors.
04 - Optional: Adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or soy sauce to taste before serving. Serve the pepper steak hot over cooked rice, mashed potatoes, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce. Pair with steamed vegetables or a side salad for a complete meal.

# Notes:

01 - Use fresh ingredients like garlic, ginger, and high-quality beef for optimal flavor.
02 - Switch proteins by substituting beef with chicken, pork, or tofu.
03 - Add mushrooms, zucchini, or carrots for additional nutrition.
04 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
