Soft Beef Red Wine (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - A dollop of sour cream or crème fraîche (if you want)
02 - Fresh herbs like parsley, grab some if you like
03 - 1 teaspoon oregano
04 - 1 teaspoon hot paprika
05 - 3 teaspoons sweet paprika
06 - 1 tablespoon tomato paste
07 - 250 ml red wine
08 - 2 teaspoons beef bouillon powder, about 10g
09 - 500 ml water
10 - 2 garlic cloves
11 - 400 g red onions
12 - 800 g beef stew meat, cut into chunks

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the beef into pieces, dice up the onions, and smash the garlic so it's ready.
02 - Heat a slick of oil. Sear meat in parts so it gets some good color, then scoop it out once it's done.
03 - Throw in the onions and cook them down. Scrape up any yummy brown bits, then add garlic and tomato paste for a quick cook.
04 - Bit by bit, splash in the wine and let it reduce. After that, pour in water, toss in all the spices, and give it a good stir.
05 - Click a lid on and let it bubble for 90 minutes. Need it thicker? Cook for another 15–30 minutes with no lid on.

# Notes:

01 - It’s great with pasta.
02 - Top with sour cream or crème fraîche, if you like.
