I always create the tastiest bowls when I'm craving something with a crunch. This crispy chicken Caesar bowl has become my top pick. There's something about juicy chicken with that crunchy coating, fresh lettuce, and my creamy dressing that just makes me smile. It's a dish I'm always happy to whip up again and again.

What makes it special

Every bite of this bowl delivers an amazing flavor experience. The crunchy cornflake-coated chicken works so well with the crisp romaine lettuce and those tasty potato wedges. My family gets excited whenever I make these bowls. Everyone can build their own portion just how they like it and throw in extra carrots or bell peppers if they want.

My bowl ingredients

  • Chicken breast: 300g from my trusted butcher, has to be nice and tender.
  • Cornflakes: 100g roughly crushed for that extra crunch.
  • Romaine lettuce: The crispiest I can find.
  • Potatoes: 500g waxy ones with skin on, they turn out super tasty.
  • Dressing: My blend of creamy yogurt, mayo, Dijon mustard, fresh lemon, salt and pepper.

How I create my favorite bowl

The chicken
I cut the fillets into strips, season them with paprika and garlic. Then they go through egg and my cornflake coating.
The potatoes
The wedges get olive oil, salt and pepper, then they go in the oven for 25 minutes until they're golden brown.
The coating
The chicken needs about 15 minutes in the oven until it's perfectly crispy.
The dressing
All ingredients go in a bowl, get mixed until creamy, done.
The final touch
Fresh lettuce as the base, topped with potatoes, the crispy chicken, and finally my favorite dressing.

How to make extra crunchy chicken

After many tries, I've learned the cornflakes shouldn't be crushed too finely. The coarse texture is what makes the coating really crunchy. It's also important to pat the chicken dry beforehand so the coating sticks better.

A bowl for every taste

The great thing about this bowl is I can always give it a new twist. Sometimes I make it vegetarian with crispy tofu. I might add fresh herbs or a bit of chili to the dressing depending on my mood. The bowl works great for meal prep too, perfect for busy days.

What else goes well with it

At home I often bake a ciabatta on the side. The crispy croutons I make from it go right into the bowl. Toasted sunflower seeds add that extra crunch everybody loves.

Perfect for when friends visit

This bowl is my secret weapon when I have friends over. It doesn't just look good, it pleases everyone's taste buds. The prep is relaxed and the result always wows people time after time.

A bowl that brings joy

My chicken Caesar bowl is like a culinary hug. It brings together everything that makes food great: crunchy textures, fresh ingredients, and a creamy dressing. Whether for family or guests, it always brings happiness.

Smart time management

This bowl saves me on busy days. While the potatoes are in the oven, I get the chicken ready. Wash the lettuce, mix the dressing, and dinner's on the table in 30 minutes.

Tasty and nutritious

This bowl is my answer to healthy comfort food. The chicken gives us protein, the potatoes fill us up, and the yogurt-based dressing is lighter than the original. It's a complete meal that's good for both body and soul.

Smart meal prepping

On days when I'm in a hurry, I prep everything the night before. The chicken and potatoes stay crispy when stored separately, the lettuce stays fresh, and the dressing waits in a jar. This way I can throw together a fresh bowl anytime.

A bowl for all seasons

In summer I enjoy this bowl outside on the patio. In winter the oven-warm potatoes and crispy chicken warm me up. It adapts to any season and always tastes great.

This chicken Caesar bowl is my version of perfect soul food. It combines what I love about cooking: fresh ingredients, amazing textures and flavor that impresses. It's a dish I never get tired of sharing because it simply makes people happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

→ Can I use different cornflakes?
Just make sure they aren't sweetened. Panko breadcrumbs also work well if you'd rather use those.
→ How do I get the chicken extra crispy?
Don't crush the cornflakes too fine and dry the chicken really well before you coat it.
→ Can I prep the bowl ahead?
You can get all the parts ready, but keep them apart till just before eating so nothing goes soggy or loses crunch.
