Crispy Air Fryer Cheese Dogs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 hot dog buns
02 - 4 fully cooked hot dogs
03 - 8 slices of American cheese (or cheese of your choice)
04 - 2 tablespoons softened butter
05 - Optional: ketchup, mustard, or other toppings for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Gently open each hot dog bun without tearing it completely. Place one slice of cheese on each inner side of the bun to create a melty cheese barrier.
02 - Insert the cooked hot dog into the center of each bun and gently press the bun closed.
03 - Generously butter the outside of each bun. Optionally, mix garlic powder or herbs into the butter for additional flavor.
04 - Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for a few minutes.
05 - Place the assembled hot dogs into the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted.
06 - Carefully remove the hot dogs with tongs and let them cool for a minute. Serve warm with optional toppings.
