Garlic Parmesan Pasta One Pot (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main ingredients

01 - ½ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
02 - 3 tablespoons butter, divided
03 - 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
04 - 2 cups chicken broth
05 - 1 cup whole milk
06 - 8 oz. angel hair pasta
07 - Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

→ Optional seasonings

08 - ¼ teaspoon onion powder
09 - ¼ teaspoon oregano
10 - ¼ teaspoon thyme
11 - ¼ teaspoon parsley
12 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Grate the Parmesan cheese and set it aside to allow it to reach room temperature.
02 - Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
03 - Add the chicken broth and optional seasoning mix. Slowly add the milk, stirring as you do so. Bring to a boil.
04 - Add the pasta noodles. You can break them in half for a better fit or allow them to heat and use kitchen tongs to twist them into the skillet as they soften. Let the pasta simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the noodles do not stick together. Reduce heat to low.
05 - Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the warm pasta and toss to coat. Gradually sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, stirring as you do so, until smooth and well-combined. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the liquid is boiling when adding the pasta to achieve the proper consistency.
02 - Purchase high-quality Parmesan cheese and shred it yourself for better melting and flavor.
03 - Turn off the heat before adding cheese to prevent a grainy texture from separated dairy.
04 - For spaghetti, add ½ cup more chicken broth, ½ cup more milk, and up to ⅓ cup more cheese. Adjust cooking time accordingly.
