Effortless Caramel Carrots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Salt and pepper to taste.
02 - 500 g carrots.
03 - 1 tablespoon fresh thyme.
04 - 2 tablespoons agave syrup.
05 - Ginger or cinnamon if you like.
06 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
07 - 150 ml orange juice.

# Instructions:

01 - Stir in thyme at the end. Toss in as much salt and pepper as you want. If you're feeling adventurous, toss in ginger or cinnamon now.
02 - Pour in the orange juice and agave syrup. Let everything cook down for about 10–15 minutes till it's a bit thicker.
03 - Heat up the oil in a pan. Cook the carrot sticks for five minutes so they begin to soften a bit.
04 - Start off by peeling the carrots and slicing them into sticks.

# Notes:

01 - Great either cooled or still warm.
02 - Carrots should still have a little bite left.
03 - Goes really well with tofu or seitan.
