Effortless Caramel Carrots

# Ingredients:

Salt and pepper to taste.

500 g carrots.
03 -
1 tablespoon fresh thyme.
04 -
2 tablespoons agave syrup.
05 -
Ginger or cinnamon if you like.

2 tablespoons olive oil.

150 ml orange juice.
# Instructions:

Stir in thyme at the end. Toss in as much salt and pepper as you want. If you're feeling adventurous, toss in ginger or cinnamon now.

Pour in the orange juice and agave syrup. Let everything cook down for about 10–15 minutes till it's a bit thicker.

Heat up the oil in a pan. Cook the carrot sticks for five minutes so they begin to soften a bit.

Start off by peeling the carrots and slicing them into sticks.

Great either cooled or still warm.

Carrots should still have a little bite left.

Goes really well with tofu or seitan.
